TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) – Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt and Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson announced a two-state partnership Wednesday, a move to position the region as "the national hub for advanced aerial mobility."
The governors signed a memorandum of understanding placing the states in a position to become national leaders in aerospace autonomous systems.
The governors said they believe the unique urban-rural airspace, robust manufacturing workforces, and top-tier university research assets will allow the region to become a national leader in advanced mobility.
Stitt said he and Hutchinson are also working on a partnership with Louisiana’s governor for a future hydrogen hub that would be a $2 billion investment.
