If you've ever tried to fly a drone, you'll probably appreciate quite how difficult it is.

Keeping it the right way up, manoeuvring it, even trying to just fly it in a straight line without crashing. It is hard for the untrained.

Drone experts will be descending on Duntroon from all over Australia to compete in the Australian Drone Nationals, happening this weekend.

Timothy Crofts is a member of the Canberra Multirotor Racing Club and has organised these Nationals. He told ABC Radio Canberra Mornings what people can expect from the competition.
