Kochi: The helicopter of Lulu Group chairman MA Yusuff Ali was removed from the swamp where it made a precautionary landing on Sunday morning. The chopper was shifted from Panangad to a centre in Edappally.
The mission to lift the chopper started by Sunday midnight at 12 and was completed by Monday early morning at 5 am.
The helicopter made precautionary landing in a marshy land while Yusuff Ali and wife were flying from their residence in Kochi to Lakeshore hospital to visit a relative. The pilots landed the helicopter due to some technical glitches and adverse weather.
After the incident, Yusuff Ali and family sought treatment and later returned to Abu Dhabi in a special flight sent by the royal family in Abu Dhabi.
