A rescue helicopter has winched tens of people and their pets to safety after quickly rising flood waters inundated their properties in central west New South Wales. The rescue team was called to several locations near Eugowra, Murga and north-east of Orange. The main areas of severe impact are the towns of Parkes, Forbes, Molong, Eugowra, Cowra, Canowindra, Blayney, Young and Yass
