PRIMARY school pupils in Winsford were lucky enough to see an RAF helicopter land on their school field as they learnt about different careers.
Before the Darnhall Primary School closed for the Christmas holidays, children enjoyed a ‘World of Work’ week.
The aim of the week was to raise aspirations, inspire pupils and open their eyes to the many career opportunities that are out there.
Teacher Chloe Lupton said: “Some of the visitors included the Navy, Winsford Fire Brigade, the Army, a veterinary nurse, a prison officer, a sniffer dog handler, Sea Cadets and many, many more!
“Some of the Darnhall families also shared their careers with the children.
“A standout moment for the children was when an RAF helicopter landed on the school field.
“The RAF then shared some information about their career and the children got to get up close to the helicopter.
“This will be a moment that both staff and children will remember for a very long time.”
